Purpose:

To support the Ann Arbor CIL Inclusive Water Recreation Program in providing a fun and interactive way for people with and without disabilities to exercise and stay active!

Water Recreation Assistant

The Mack Indoor Pool
715 Brooks St.
Ann Arbor, MI

Key Responsibilities:

Assist participants in engaging in various water games, i.e. volleyball, basketball and other aerobic exercises in a one-on-one interactive format.

Assist participants in using noodles, vests and other water equipment.

Socialize with partner.

NOTE: NO lifting, transferring or physical support in the water will be required of volunteers.

Length of Appointment:

Every Tuesday Jan.-March
11:30am-1pm

Time Commitment:

1.5 hours a week

Qualifications:

Experience in water is a must!  Must be friendly and energetic, able to work well with others.  Successful completion of criminal background check. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

Support Provided:

A lifeguard and CIL staff member will be present at all times.
