Job-seekers and community leaders team up to make “Networking: Let’s Go!” action-packed!

Sunday, February 20th, 2011

This week the Ann Arbor CIL warehouse was the place for action, networking, job-seeking excitement.  On Wednesday, February 16, 18 area job-seekers and 15 members of the local business community gathered for the always-popular event “Networking: Let’s Go!”

With area business leaders stationed at tables around the room, job-seekers paired off and went to work practicing their pitches and honing their small talk.  During the event, business leaders provided insight and feedback to job-seekers about what it takes to get those all-important networking skills just right.

Networking is a vital part of any job search and can be an intimidating process for many.  The CIL event, held 2-3 times per year, gives job-seekers a chance to practice their networking skills and get more comfortable making small talk in a low-pressure environment.

The Career Services team expresses its special thanks to all who came out to make the event a success.  Be sure to join us for Speed Interviewing March 9th!
