Shirley Coombs no longer works for the Ann Arbor CIL.

Shirley is our Chief Financial Officer extraordinaire. No easy job, Shirley is responsible for the overall administration of all accounting and financial matters. Handling countless important details for an ever-growing number of grants and contracts, Shirley ensures that the Ann Arbor CIL runs smoothly, and she effectively makes sure that bills get paid and auditors are happy.

Shirley has worked with the Ann Arbor CIL since 1991 and has over twenty years of experience as an accountant and bookkeeper for non-profit and for-profit organizations. She has experience in selecting and implementing accounting software systems and extensive experience working with accounting and spread sheet programs.

Shirley earned her BBA from the University of Michigan, where she majored in Accounting, and she earned her Master of Science in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University.

When she's not toiling over spreadsheets, calculators, and accounting reports, Shirley can often be found relaxing with her beloved husband Len. Shirley is also an avid animal-lover and frequently participates in therapeutic horseback riding.
