- Fitness Fun Workshop
Aug 7, 2014 @ 11:00 amJoin us at the CIL to get fit while having fun. This is a series of workshop taught by a registered occupational therapist and a certified health coach. There will be a new physical activity every session to get you moving! We will also have a healthy snack available to help you recover. We will meet on Thursdays 11-1pm on June 26th, July 24th, 31st, and August 7th and 14th. There is a $3 per person per event fee to participate. Workshop topics will include: June 26th - nutrition and fitness tips session July 24th- fitness center orientation and weight training etc. July 31st- adaptive yoga including relaxation and breathing exercises August 7th-Adaptive Tai Chi August 14th- Nu-step Boot camp challenge -If you need assistance transferring on and off equipment please bring a personal assistant with you as the CIL cannot provide this assistance. These classes are open to people of all ages and abilities and it is a great opportunity for everyone to gather, and learn how to cook cooperatively. If you want to learn a new healthy way of cooking, this easy-grilling themed series is for you. Participants must RSVP one week prior to each class. There is a $3 fee per person each class. Class will meet on the dates listed below from 11am-1pm.
