Youth Volunteer Corps of Ann Arbor
The Ann Arbor YMCA’s Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) is a youth-driven volunteer program for young people ages 11-17. YVC engages youth in service learning projects that are challenging, rewarding and educational to serve the needs of the community and promote a lifetime ethic of service. During the YVC’s history at the Ann Arbor YMCA, more than 1,800 youth have collaborated with over 100 non-profit agencies to provide over 100,000 hours of service to the Washtenaw County community. The YVC school year program provides hands-on service learning projects for volunteers ages 11-17 with local non-profit agencies. Service projects are offered once or twice a month on either a weekend, on school vacation days or after school.
