Charles Wright Chris Russeau Lindsay Huddleston
Charles received services from the CIL to obtain new affordable housing and other county supports in order to maximize his ability to live independently. “I am proud and empowered, living in my own home, volunteering, and engaging in the community how I choose.” Charles especially likes participating in the weekly art programs at the CIL.
“I received training and assistive technology services at the Monroe CIL. My goals were to find a job and affordable place to live. The CIL staff helped me apply for several positions and I got a job with the Monroe Public Schools as a bus aide. They also helped me search for and fill out applications for affordable housing that helped me move into an apartment.”
“I am thankful for the help the CIL provided me and my Catering business. I got it off and running with their assistance, knowledge, creativity, and patience. Working with the VA was not easy but CIL staff helped coordinate and facilitate all our appointments. They knew when I needed my hand held and walked me through. I am forever grateful!”
