The general election is fast approaching, and we encourage everyone to vote! It is so important that people with disabilities are fully represented in the election and that we share our voices in community decision-making that affects all of us.
We encourage you to make your plans now about where and how you plan to vote. There are three ways to vote:
- In-person voting: At polling locations, you have the right to a barrier-free entry to the voting room, use of an accessible voting machine that can help you mark your ballot, and the assistance of a polling worker.
- Absentee voting: To vote by mail, you must make your request by 5 pm Friday, Oct. 30
- Accessible absentee voting: New this year, you can now apply for an absentee ballot that allows you to mark the ballot using your own assistive technology
Voting should be easy, and figuring this out can seem complicated. We can help you figure it all out, make sure you are registered, and have an easy and simple plan that works for you. Give us a call for help with voting, or any personal goal you have right now. As always, we are here to help!
